Texture-Texture-Texture

I love my new texture plates... they really dress up a card. This card was made using the flower from 'Best Wishes & More' stamp set. I used black and Sahara Sand cardstock. The flower is embossed with clear embossing powder and Versamark. I used the Friend and Distressed texture plates and of course a little dazzling diamonds for that bit of bling!

Very Versatile

I've been playing around a lot with my new texture plates. I saw a card awhile back on SCS that I fell in love with... This is my take on it. This is also one of the samples I made for my sister's Wedding Invitations. The stamped image is from the Friends 24-7 stamp set. The paper is Sahara sand and Very vanilla.

Baja Basket

I made this cute little basket as a thank-you for a customer. I just love the new oval set and oval scallop punch (available April 1st). Baja and black has also become one of my new favourite colour combos.

Sympathy Card Class

Here are the cards I have planned for my Sympathy Card Class this coming Wednesday night. The 1st card uses the Baroque Motifs set and As Close as A Memory on Sahara Sand and Basic Black Cardstock. The second card is stamped with the Pocket Silouhettes stamp set and uses Baja Breeze and Basic black cardstock. The last card is stamped with the Three Little Words set and uses Elegant Eggplant and Pale Plum cardstock. Texture plates are also used on all 3 cards (this will be demonstrated in the class). The cards were designed to be sympathy cards but I will have other sentiments available so that the cards can be turned into all occasion, birthday or thank-you's.
Class details: Time: 8:00 pm @ my home...Cost is $10.00 per person-all materials and refreshments provided.

Springtini Birthday Wishes

FYI: this is not a Stampin' Up image ~ but I loved it so much I couldn't resist buying this stamp. This is a card I made for my SIL's birthday. I used basic black and pale plum Stampin' Up cardstock. I embossed the pale plum cardstock with the Stampin' Up texture plates (you may have to click on the picture to enlarge it to really see the dots). The one I used is called large dots (small dots is on the other side of the plate and they come in a set of 3... so you get 6 different images). See page 203 of the catalogue for more details! Finally, I used a glue pen to apply dazzling diamonds to give the card some bling.

Glittery Floral

Here's another card from regional displays and a challenge for you...what set(s) are the flowers from? I can't figure it out and it's driving me crazy! If you can figure it out, leave a comment listing the floral sets used on this card and I will give you 5 tickets for my quarterly door prize at the end of March!

Thinking of You

Here's another of my favourites from the regional displays (I still have LOTS more to post). I just love the colour combo on this card... pretty in pink and old olive. This little tree stamp is from the "Trendy Trees" set in the Spring & Summer catalogue. It's another very versatile set. The way its used on this card creates a very 'springy' feel, but I'm sure it could be used for fall cards just as easily! The cordinating envelope is equally as sweet. I always like to do this and people love it when they get a sneak preview of the card on the envelope.

'For You' Baroque Motifs

Another card from regional display boards! Love the quilted look. This could be done with so many colour combos. Very easy card, but quite the elegant look!

Sale-a-Bration Samples

Here are 2 cards that were displayed at London Regionals that were made using the Sale-a-Bration set "Botanical Blooms". It's my favourite of the 4 free sets you can earn right now. It's your's for free when you place a $60.00 Stampin' Up order (offer only available until the end of March... see my SU website for more details-www.danadejeu.stampinup.net).

Great Masculine Card

What an awesome card for any guys b-day. It is made with the "Cheers to You" set and the Party Hearty sentiment is from the "Party Hearty" set. This was yet another of the many wonderful cards displayed at Regionals.

Love the Layout!

I just love the layout on this baby card that was displayed at the London Regionals. It uses the Congrats sale-a-bration set along with one of the images from Pun Fun. Great job to who ever designed it! Of course if it was my card I'd need to add some stippling.

Card Samples from Display Boards

This card was on one of the display boards at the regional. Of course I love it since it uses my favourite colour combo. I love the squares of pattern paper...so simple and easy yet very striking. Sorry you can't see the full greeting on the bottom of the card. It was so hard to get good pictures of all the samples with people standing in front of you. I had to take pictures from all sorts of funny angles!

I love the rounded corner on this very springy card. I've been wanting those scalloped circle dies-but after seeing this card they are definitely moving to the top of my wishlist! I think this card would be just perfect for a Mother's Day class.... don't you???

What a beautiful card for a girlfriend's b-day! Love the glittery drinks-make sure you click on the photo to get a close up view...Doesn't it make you thirsty just looking at this card? Definitely one of my favourites from the display boards! I've been debating ordering this set for awhile, but this card has convinced me... I can see a big order coming on!

Swaps for Regional

I decided to do 2 swaps for the Stampin' Up Regional. I did a little chocolate chip basket decorated with an appricot appeal flower. The other card used my favourite colour combo... chocolate chip and pink pirouette along with the little leaves sizzlit die cut. I made 15 baskets and 20 of the little leaves card (all in one day). I had them all swapped in less than 15 minutes-should have made more!

Stampin' Up Regional

I attended the Stampin' Up Regional (for demonstrators) in London yesterday. There was at least 500 stampers there. It was very inspiring to see all the display boards, swap card samples with fellow demonstrators and listen to Stampin' Up employees discuss exciting new ideas and techniques. It was also nice for me to have a chance to make some projects that someone else had prepared. I have sooooo many pics of card samples to post so make sure you check in daily for the next few days.
