"Beary Best Friends" Girly Card

I used the new SU set called "Beary Best Friends" on this very girly card. You'll find this set, along with a whole build a bear line in the Holiday mini Catalogue which runs from September 1st through December 31st!

I had so much fun making this card. My favourite part is the little polka dots I added to the bear's dress! I also love these little flowers that I found at Dollarama.

Circle Circus Card

I made this card using ALL new SU product! It's such a versatile card. By changing the colour and sentiment there are endless possibilities. The circles were stamped using a new set called CIRCLE CIRCUS & the sentiment was stamped using another new set called TEENY TINY WISHES. Notice it works perfectly with the word window punch. I love this sentiment set. It includes 24 sentiments that cover every possible occasion you might make a card for. Like the colour... it's called RICH RAZZLEBERRY and is one of the new in colours!

Baby Boy Card

With the release of the new catalogue July 1st...I have been inspired to create. Here is a baby boy card I designed for a friend who has recently had a beautiful baby boy. I used a retired set called Bundled in Joy and a brand new set called Teeny Tiny Wishes. This new set is awesome as it has 24 little wishes covering almost all occasions. I love that it works with the window punch and the new modern label punch. I'll post more about the new catalogue soon. See my SU website for more details on the new catalogue. If you would like your own copy please contact me.

Texture-Texture-Texture

I love my new texture plates... they really dress up a card. This card was made using the flower from 'Best Wishes & More' stamp set. I used black and Sahara Sand cardstock. The flower is embossed with clear embossing powder and Versamark. I used the Friend and Distressed texture plates and of course a little dazzling diamonds for that bit of bling!

Very Versatile

I've been playing around a lot with my new texture plates. I saw a card awhile back on SCS that I fell in love with... This is my take on it. This is also one of the samples I made for my sister's Wedding Invitations. The stamped image is from the Friends 24-7 stamp set. The paper is Sahara sand and Very vanilla.

Baja Basket

I made this cute little basket as a thank-you for a customer. I just love the new oval set and oval scallop punch (available April 1st). Baja and black has also become one of my new favourite colour combos.

Sympathy Card Class

Here are the cards I have planned for my Sympathy Card Class this coming Wednesday night. The 1st card uses the Baroque Motifs set and As Close as A Memory on Sahara Sand and Basic Black Cardstock. The second card is stamped with the Pocket Silouhettes stamp set and uses Baja Breeze and Basic black cardstock. The last card is stamped with the Three Little Words set and uses Elegant Eggplant and Pale Plum cardstock. Texture plates are also used on all 3 cards (this will be demonstrated in the class). The cards were designed to be sympathy cards but I will have other sentiments available so that the cards can be turned into all occasion, birthday or thank-you's.
Class details: Time: 8:00 pm @ my home...Cost is $10.00 per person-all materials and refreshments provided.

Springtini Birthday Wishes

FYI: this is not a Stampin' Up image ~ but I loved it so much I couldn't resist buying this stamp. This is a card I made for my SIL's birthday. I used basic black and pale plum Stampin' Up cardstock. I embossed the pale plum cardstock with the Stampin' Up texture plates (you may have to click on the picture to enlarge it to really see the dots). The one I used is called large dots (small dots is on the other side of the plate and they come in a set of 3... so you get 6 different images). See page 203 of the catalogue for more details! Finally, I used a glue pen to apply dazzling diamonds to give the card some bling.

Glittery Floral

Here's another card from regional displays and a challenge for you...what set(s) are the flowers from? I can't figure it out and it's driving me crazy! If you can figure it out, leave a comment listing the floral sets used on this card and I will give you 5 tickets for my quarterly door prize at the end of March!

Thinking of You

Here's another of my favourites from the regional displays (I still have LOTS more to post). I just love the colour combo on this card... pretty in pink and old olive. This little tree stamp is from the "Trendy Trees" set in the Spring & Summer catalogue. It's another very versatile set. The way its used on this card creates a very 'springy' feel, but I'm sure it could be used for fall cards just as easily! The cordinating envelope is equally as sweet. I always like to do this and people love it when they get a sneak preview of the card on the envelope.

'For You' Baroque Motifs

Another card from regional display boards! Love the quilted look. This could be done with so many colour combos. Very easy card, but quite the elegant look!

Sale-a-Bration Samples

Here are 2 cards that were displayed at London Regionals that were made using the Sale-a-Bration set "Botanical Blooms". It's my favourite of the 4 free sets you can earn right now. It's your's for free when you place a $60.00 Stampin' Up order (offer only available until the end of March... see my SU website for more details-www.danadejeu.stampinup.net).

Great Masculine Card

What an awesome card for any guys b-day. It is made with the "Cheers to You" set and the Party Hearty sentiment is from the "Party Hearty" set. This was yet another of the many wonderful cards displayed at Regionals.

Love the Layout!

I just love the layout on this baby card that was displayed at the London Regionals. It uses the Congrats sale-a-bration set along with one of the images from Pun Fun. Great job to who ever designed it! Of course if it was my card I'd need to add some stippling.

Card Samples from Display Boards

This card was on one of the display boards at the regional. Of course I love it since it uses my favourite colour combo. I love the squares of pattern paper...so simple and easy yet very striking. Sorry you can't see the full greeting on the bottom of the card. It was so hard to get good pictures of all the samples with people standing in front of you. I had to take pictures from all sorts of funny angles!

I love the rounded corner on this very springy card. I've been wanting those scalloped circle dies-but after seeing this card they are definitely moving to the top of my wishlist! I think this card would be just perfect for a Mother's Day class.... don't you???

What a beautiful card for a girlfriend's b-day! Love the glittery drinks-make sure you click on the photo to get a close up view...Doesn't it make you thirsty just looking at this card? Definitely one of my favourites from the display boards! I've been debating ordering this set for awhile, but this card has convinced me... I can see a big order coming on!

Swaps for Regional

I decided to do 2 swaps for the Stampin' Up Regional. I did a little chocolate chip basket decorated with an appricot appeal flower. The other card used my favourite colour combo... chocolate chip and pink pirouette along with the little leaves sizzlit die cut. I made 15 baskets and 20 of the little leaves card (all in one day). I had them all swapped in less than 15 minutes-should have made more!

Stampin' Up Regional

I attended the Stampin' Up Regional (for demonstrators) in London yesterday. There was at least 500 stampers there. It was very inspiring to see all the display boards, swap card samples with fellow demonstrators and listen to Stampin' Up employees discuss exciting new ideas and techniques. It was also nice for me to have a chance to make some projects that someone else had prepared. I have sooooo many pics of card samples to post so make sure you check in daily for the next few days.

'Coffee Riley' Birthday Card

I made this cute little card for my sister's Birthday! (Happy birthday Kim)!!! I used an image I received in a Canadian swap that I am participating in. This stamp is called "Coffee Riley". He's so adorable (even though he's not SU). I do need to work on colouring images and was a little rushed and multi-tasking when creating this card. I will be playing some more with this little guy I might even have to hunt down this stamp for myself (I know---I don't usually buy non-SU)! Do you like the pattern paper... I got it free! You can too if you place a $60.00 order from the new Stampin' Up catalogue. Contact me if you'd like more info about earning free Sale-a-bration products.

Little Leaves Gift Set

I finally got a chance to play with some of my new toys! I just love this little sizzlit from SU's new Spring/Summer catalogue. It is called 'Little Leaves' . It creates what I call a simple elegant look. The little box was made using SU's box # 2 die cut... Sooooo easy! Run it through the bigshot and it is cut and lines scored all at the same time. Just fold, assemble and decorate. It's the perfect size for a gift certificate, jewellery, or a few little chocolates. The little card is a 3x3 and would be perfect to add to a plate of baked goods or floral bouqet.

Botanical Blooms Birthday Card

I designed this birthday card for my sister. I used one of my new FREE sale-a-bration stamp sets called Botanical Blooms. I like the crispness of the black and white colour combination... but in this card it just didn't seem to work so I sponged some Stampin' Up 'Goinng Gray' ink over the white portions of the card. This is actually a very striking card for how quickly it can be put together. I will definitely be doing some more experimenting with this set!

Nathan's Valentine's

These are the Valentine's we created for Nathan's grade one classmates. The heart background was made using Tempting Turquoise paper and a Cuttlebug folder. We punched the hearts out of paper from my scrap basket using Stampin' Up's new heart punch and a heart punch from Martha Stewart. We used the slit punch on the edge to hold the card together like some store bought Valentine's do. The zigzag is a stamp that I got years ago (not sure what company its made by). Hope the kiddies like them-although I'm sure they'll be
more impressed with the candy that came with it!

Saturday, February 7, 2009

The background is my favourite part of this masculine card... I used 2 backgroung stamps (Sanded & Classic Stripes). The distressed edge also gives a masculine feeling. I always stuggle with masculine cards but am quite happy with how this one turned out!

3x3 Valentine

This is one of the first 3x3 cards I ever made. It uses a retired set (I can't even remember the name of it now) and Itty Bitty backgrounds. Be sure to click on the photo to enlarge it if you would like to see all the little details...Leave me your address in a COMMENT below and I will enter your name in my weekly card giveaway!

'Simply Said' Valentine

This Valentine is made with the 'Simply Said' stamp set from Stampin' Up. I used real red cardstock for the embossed base and stamped the images with Real red ink on a strip of Pink Pirouette cardstock.

Pink Pirouette Valentine

I made this special Valentine for my Demo Secret Sister who lives in BC. It is my Valentine's rendition of a card I did in a Christmas class this past December. I wanted to show how you can use the same dimensions and layout on a card and totally change it by switching out the colours and stamps used...Takes the thinking part out of making the card which is always the hardest part for me! This Valentine uses the 'Love You Much' stamp set and co-ordinating heart punch from Stampin' Up. I finished it off with a piece of Pink Pirouette striped ribbon and added a little shimmer to the hearts with a glitter pen!

Girl's Birthday Card

I'm going to try very hard to share more of my cards on my blog... here's my card for today! It's a girl's birthday card done up in tempting turqouise. I used a cuttlebug folder to do the embossed background and the 'All in the Family' stampset from Stampin Up. The scalloped ovals are made by using Nestabilities dies. I added a bit of bling by adding Dazzling diamond glitter around the edge of the pink cardstock!

The New Catalogue is Finally Here!

I'm so excited that the new spring summer catalogue is finally here. There is soooo much product that I want to play with. However... I'm holding off ordering until February 1st when sale-a-Bration starts. FREE STAMPS.... I can wait a few extra days for that (I think)! Anyhow I'm making my wishlist and checking it twice!
